Publishing a children’s book in eleven South African languages – June 2012 (6/25/2012)

Thanks to the financial support by Sony Japan, we published a children’s book originally written by a Japanese author, in all eleven official languages of South Africa, and organised a breakfast launch on June 25 at Wanderers Club in Johannesburg.

The original book was inspired by the overwhelming overseas support to North East Japan where a devastating earthquake and tsunami struck in 2011. The South Africans who supported Japan at that time, together with our project sponsors and other guests, were invited to and warmly welcomed at this event.

Soweto TV covered the event in their news programme. 2,500 copies of the book have been donated to all 43 buses in South Africa.
